Who YOU Are.

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our fun, playful and fast-growing team! This position will report to our VP of Engineering.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Create designs for new products and accessories
• Support legacy product design and updates
• Create models, drawings, assemblies and BOMs in CAD software (Fusion 360) with a focus on manufacturability
• Design mechanisms and electromechanical systems
• Work closely with manufacturing partners to provide engineering support and receive feedback, conduct first article inspections
• Support the creation of standards and instruction documents of products, processes, and procedures
• Conduct and support R&D prototype and product testing
• Responsible for working with multidisciplinary team to accomplish common goals
• Support and champion continuous improvement culture

What You Are Great At:

• 3+ years of experience in product design/development using 3D CAD software
• Proficient at CAD mechanical design with a manufacturability focus
• Experience in design for plastic injection molding and/or plastic injection mold design
• Basic understandings of machine elements, machine design, materials, and fabrication methods
• Comfortable with hands-on work and the dynamic nature of a rapidly growing start-up
• Display positive can-do attitude, leads by example
• Excellent communication skills

What Makes You The Ideal Fit:

• BS or MS in related engineering discipline from accredited university
• Experience with electromechanical systems
• Hands on experience with mechanical assembly
• Experience in manufacturing of high-volume consumer products
• R&D or product development experience
• Experience with finite element analysis or computational fluid dynamics
• Experience in tolerance analysis and first article inspection
• Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturing
• Experience with sensors, data acquisition, electronics
• Fundamental understanding and experience with Lean and Six Sigma
• Experience using an ERP system
• Ability to travel
